Next iPod nano to add camera, retain current form factor? The fifth-generation iPod nano packed video recording, a widescreen display, and video playback. Apple decided to drop these key features in favor of a smaller-form factor, a Multi-Touch display, an iOS-like user interface, and a belt clip for the current, sixth generation model. Now, according to a purported seventh generation iPod nano part from Apple.pro, Apple may be putting the camera back into their popular music player while still keeping the current model’s size and display. The image was apparently sent to the site two days ago. The site has been relatively accurate in the past, leaking legitimate images of Verizon iPhone 4 schematics from Foxconn, the mini touch-screen found in the current iPod nano, accurate iPad 2 details, and more. Something to note about Apple’s purported plans for the next iPod nano is the location of the belt clip. With this purported camera hole Apple will most likely need to re-position it or maybe even make it shorter. Also, how would using this super-small device for taking pics and flicks feel? More 5th gen iPod touch shots, likely fake but still interesting These are likely to be all over the Internet tomorrow but we’re posting them for discussion. It seems that some believe the new iPod touch will have a capacitative home button. This shot looks pretty real when closely examined. After looking at these, losing the button doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Still, fake. (click twice for full size). Credits : 9to5Mac
According 9to5mac its fake , but im still unsure that this will be the next iTouch Update : Its fake guys , buttonless iTouch is not bad thou ? see the contrast and the noise changing in the button part

Apple says stop using first-generation iPod nano due to battery overheating, opens worldwide replacement program Apple has opened up a replacement program for the first-generation iPod nano due to overheating issues. These affected units were sold between September 2005 and December 2006 and include a manufacturing defect sourced at a single Apple battery supplier for the first edition of ultra-small and thin screened iPods from Apple. Apple says the possibility of overheating is small, but since this iPod nano is over five years old, the likelihood of heating is higher than if the battery was younger. Apple is telling users of the original iPod nano to stop using the product and get it replaced free of charge. The worldwide replacement program can be accessed through a special website that asks users to proceed by entering their iPod nano’s serial number (shown above). Replacement units for the original iPod nano are said to ship about six weeks after the replacement page is filled out by the customer and engraved units will be replacement with non-personalized models
iPod Nano First generation anyone ?

Masih Coba Saingi iPod Touch, Samsung Umumkan Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 Player Di arena Mobile World Congress 2012 Barcelona (27 Feb - 1 Mar), Samsung mengumumkan music player terbaru mereka. Credits : Gopego Via : Wongpektung

Japanese Blog Has 'Inside Scoop' On Unlikely Five-Inch iPod touch Up there on the left is a Samsung Galaxy Note. It’s got a five-inch screen, and it’s unwieldy as all get-out. So, are you ready for a five-inch iPod touch? Me neither. However, Japanese blog Makotakara claims they’ve got reliable sources saying that’s just what’s coming. Said to sport resolutions of either 1600 x 960 or 1280 x 960, the five-inch displays are speculated to be manufactured by Sharp using its Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) technology. iDownloadBlog explains the significance of IGZO: The benefits of IGZO panels over the traditional LCD screens include sharp colors, lower power consumption and pixel densities of as high as 330ppi – enough to justify the Apple-coined Retina moniker. IGZO panels don’t need dual LED bars to illuminate the pixels and allow for wide viewing angles, negating the need for a premium display technology called In-Plane Switching. All this aligns quite nicely with Hon Hai’s recent Sharp ownership stake, but we think Apple’s got other things in mind. While Apple may indeed go the IGZO route for future iDevice panels, I very much doubt they’ll ever release this particular monstrosity. A 3.85-inch iPod touch, maybe. But a five-incher? No way. No way. Credits : Appadvice

iPod touch 5,1 in the works The iPod touch was an interesting product for Apple last year as it was the only iOS device to not receive internal nor cosmetic changes (save for a new white model). However, it looks like Apple is still interested in the iPod touch and wants a future for it. According to a file inside of an internal iOS 5.1 build, Apple is working on a fifth-generation iPod touch that is labeled iPod 5,1 internally. We haven’t heard any specifics regarding the new iPod touch hardware, but the jump from 4,1 (the current internal iPod touch label) to 5,1 indicates major internal changes, at the very least. Perhaps Apple is finally moving to an A5 or A5X-like chip in the iPod touch. After all, the iPod touch is one of the most popular gaming devices on the market, and Apple’s dual-core iOS device processors offer top-of-the-line graphics performance. It’s hard to determine an iPod5,1 release date based on its firmware reference, but with Apple seemingly moving their smaller iOS device announcements to the fall, we wouldn’t call it a stretch to see the new iPod touch launch alongside the iPhone just in time for the 2012 holiday season.
