let's go with guitars

Jem Custom Guitar
No Serial Number
Custom made guitar by Steve's longtime buddy Joe Despagni. This was used on the David Lee Roth 1986 tour and can be seen in many photos from that tour. In 2002 this guitar was auctioned for charity, Alex Lo of Illinois is the proud new owner of this guitar. We keep it listed here because it's such a unique and historical guitar, pre-dating the Ibanez Jems.

Conklin 7-String Custom
Serial #SV04
This Conklin 7-string guitar, with cobra carvings, was a gift to Steve. One interesting feature of this guitar is its mystical inlay design on the fretboard.

Ibanez Jem Tripleneck
Serial # LA060493
The only one of its kind. This guitar has appeared on a number of magazine covers, and can be seen on the stage during Vai's "The Tonight Show" performance on August 3, 1993. The first neck is a 12-string, the second neck is basically a Jem guitar set-up with a whammy bar, and the third neck is a fretless. It is stored in an insanely wide guitar case that looks like the top of a black table, and is safely stowed in Steve's home.

Ibanez Heart Tripleneck Guitar
Serial # A800050 / A800208
This Ibanez tripleneck heart guitar was built as a spare for Steve's other heart guitar in case it was damaged on tour. While the original heart guitar which can be seen in the "Just Like Paradise" video was given to the Hard Rock Cafe in LA, this one was raffled by Steve's nonprofit charity The Make A Noise Foundation, and the lucky winner was Eddie Andersson from Sweden!

Ibanez Jem
Serial #882041
This Jem guitar has the tattooed arm artwork on the front and a black & white back. The paint job was a gift to Steve. This guitar is currently in storage.
